Tonight, Andrew and I went to a meeting at Church for the North Charleston Campus. We dropped Roman off at Ba-Pa's where he got a po-go lesson! We were excited to experience the new worship teams first "performance" and to hear from the team that had just returned from thir trip to the LA Dream Center. Andrew and I were nervous about the worship. We loved the idea and the vision but having grown so accustomed to "seacoast style" contemporary worship, we wondered how hard it would be to get used to it. The vision was that it would be like the "sound of the nations."It would incorporate contemporary style songs but also with a gospel feel. We loved it!We both felt the holy spirit move in that room in such a powerul way. I believe that God is all over this campus and its leadership. The stories and slide show from the dream center in LA truly made me want to pack up and go there. But I am so excited that we get to be a part of buiding a ministry like that from the ground here....How amazing is that? I can't wait to take our adopt a block team out and love on some people, take care of their needs, and show them how much God loves them.It makes me think of the scripture in the first chapter of James. True Religion is this: taking care of orphans and Widows and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Happy Mother Day!
