Shes Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My jessica that is. After a busy busy day (at one point i thought i might not make it but the powernap put me back in the game)I left playgroup to make a quick change at home, drop off Romie, throw dinner on the stove, and head to Mount P for a night of girlie fun. My friend jessica is home for the summer (yes!)so we hit up starbucks for a pre-show appetizer, every tuesday ( a worship service at seacoast) and then went to chillis for dinner. It was so much fun...Jessica and I go way back. Her brother and my brother were friends and started a band together. Then when I moved back home one summer in college, we started hanging out regularly. She was with me through my moms death ( her brother was there while it happened and later wrote a song about that night..check out "something she said" theworkingtitle.com). I called on Jessica alot through that trying time. I was a mess- it was usually asking her to come get me to go get a diet coke or something. (Thank Jesus I wasn't old enough to drink back then!). I guess when someone sees you at your worst (or close to it)you develop a very real and special relationship. When I fell in love with Andrew and we would have get-togethers with all the college singles we would go outside hold hands and scream..literally ( I guess it released the frustration of not being able to express our emotions to those we had "a crush on.") We were so so silly and we still are. When we hang out I am reminded of Gods goodness and how he gives us friends as this great bonus in life. We have the kind of friendship where even if we only see each other once every few monthes, we can just pick up and go with it.We are both pretty non-verbal in general but we have this thing where we get together and just talk. We were saying tonight how fun it is to have a friendship where you don't have to think about what you are saying...you can just relax, be real, be yourself.. It amazes me that even though Jess just went back to college and is single and I am married with a kid, we still connect and find so much to talk about! It is such a blessing when you find a friend to do life with like that. I do love my Jessica!

Proverbs 17:17A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
