Last night I took Roman to a free concert at Seacoast. The Ugandan Childrens choir was amazing! I was filled with so much joy in experiencing their joy. I definatley shed a few tears of happiness. These children are so beautiful- it was awesome to see worship in such a pure form. Perfectly passionate, exuding so much joy, untainted by anything.....I wanted to take them all home with me! It definatley confirmed my desire to adopt especially after the concert when we got to hear the living conditions that these precious ones live in.
They way they danced and sang to their Lord....and their little accents....I have never heard the name Jesus sound more precious.Half way through the performance they all stopped and recited Psalm 121 which is my moms favorite Psalm and has become my own "life psalm".
I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Roman was thrilled by the perfrmance. He was a little shy at first and just wanted to watch from my lap..then He beckoned me over to the aisle so we could see better.Then, he wanted to go up front- so I took him around the side to the front.I think he would have gotten up on stage if I would have let him.
