Update

Went to MUSC today for a consult. This is with the high-risk obstetrics people. The doctor I saw actually is a friend of my ob who delivered and saw me through my pregnancy with Roman. He went over my symptoms of the tia and all the tests the neurologist had ordered. It could take two weeks to get the results from those. he was pleased with the tests that they had ordered and said they seemed to be thorough. He def wants all strands for lieden factor 5 checked as well as some other blood clotting type disorders. He hopes that the tests will show nothing and that we will just have to play a wait and see type game. If I do have any strand of lieden he recommended (which he said is contoversial) putting me on a blood thinner. This would be a self administered daily shot thorughout the remainder of the pregnancy. He says he feels more comfortable doing this as 1 in 100 pregnant women with lieden will clot while they are pregnant which can develop as symptoms such as the tia I experienced or something much more severe or fatal. He said I could get a second oppinion on this if I wanted as even all his collegues arn't in agreement on this form of treatment.Anyway, next steps- first ultrasound tommorow..praying for a strong (and only 1) heart beat ;-). Thursday- blood clotting consultation through neurologist refereal. Follow up with neurologist August 17th....
