The cake is a British recipie. It is called a malteser cake. maltesers are like malt balls and you can get them at world market- they are my dads favorite. the cake actually has malt baked into it and the icing is very sweet and becomes glazed when set. It is so yummy! It was a labor of lvoe and took about 5 hours to construct- It was four layers and I had to covnert all the measurments from metric.
