I call it my favorite hobby. It is also my sport. I started about two years ago and fell in love.....
1. My jogging stroller- $2.00.really.thats two dollars.
2. My willow tree ornament of father and son- 50 cents. ( I collect these)
3. Romans Train table for Christmas with trains and track- $20.00
4. My pregnancy record book. This is the exact same one I had with Roman and looked everywhere for in the stores after I found out I was expecting Jude. Found it at a yard sale- untouched.
5. Romans second "doggie" blankie. He never took a pacifier but fell in love with this carters dog blankie that got discontinued. It was devasting when we lost the original and the only one I could find was on ebay for 80.00. desperate mother..but not that much. Prayed and found it at a yard sale following week..tags on..5o cents. hallelujah!
6. Roman and Judes entire closet. This is all nice stuff hardly worn from 25 cents to a dollar.
7. God always shows up to answer a need or a want through a yard sale. I am usually prayerful about something we need or want and more often than not I find it at a yard sale...
8.Childrens books...whats not to love for the average price of 25-50 cents.
9. The clothes...my banana republic sweater set and banana republic jeans, especially.
10.I love coming home to an expectant and excited Roman (He always gets a treat from mommy on saturday morning) and to Andrew who has made chocolate chip pancakes (whole grain with flax..of course)...
11. Its maybe the only thing that makes me excited to get up at 5:30 as I head out the door with my route thats been mapquested in my hand.
12.All of Andrews Ralph lauren polos I found at one yard sale last year, I got 7 different colors all were 50 cents each. yeah!
13.It is my time to get out and be myself doing something I find thrilling.Maybe this is how guys feel when they go hunting....
14...okay, one more..My computer cart. Andrew and I were walking into a festival at St Theresas which also has a huge "tag" sale. I was just telling Andrew how I would like a computer cart so we could move our computer downstairs. As we were crossing the road there was a computer cart...in the middle of the road! I just figured someone had bought it so I asked the guy. He said "no I just moved it there to keep the traffic from going around the other side. ha ha.Thank you Jesus!

Wow! I thought I was getting some good deals, but it sounds like I need to go garage saleing, too!
Girl - that's so funny! Leslie took me to a yard sale once - I made her bring me back - i never find anything good - but i don't know what 530 am looks like either!
I'm too lazy to look! You do always find good stuff!
That is awesome! You do find some good stuff! How great it is that your hubby stays home for you to do that! If you find another train table...I want it!
Thanks for your encouragement! You are an awesome friend, lets hang out soon. I had a great day by the way, played hookey and played with my girls! I wish everyday was like that!
That's awesome! Maybe that's why my jogging stroller didn't sell at my garage sale...I was asking way more than $2! It's okay, turns out Ruth and Stephen want it anyway!
It's definitely the thrill of the hunt!! I would try it, but I don't like to get up that early:)
