1. My day began at 2am when I woke up not feeling good and couldn't tell if I was hungry or nauseated. Then my throat started hurting and i started getting achy. I managed to fall asleep on the couch again around 4:30.
2. Woke up to take Roman to the doctor as he hadn't been napping all week and had been super irritable...
3. We are driving on 526 and the van started overheating and the alarms keep going off.. I pull over on a bridge to let it cool down..of course trucks are flying by shaking the van and I can't get a hold of Andrew who is down at emergency services at musc getting his wisdom teeth checked..
4. I start to drive again only to have the van overheat immediatley. I pull over again and call my dad who so sweetly offers to come rescue me.. but when I decline he suggests I put water in the radiator..yeah..like I could even figure out how to open the hood...
5. I make it to a gas station and find a guy to help me pour water in the radiator...even though he doesn't know where the radiator is and we have to ask another guy who knows but barely speaks english
6. I make it to the doctors office an hour late and then wait another hour to be seen.
7. We are told both Roman and I have some virus going around that causes sore throats and flu-like symptoms. great.
8. I drive by cvs to get Romans perscriptions and myself tylenol (thats all I can do). Of course, i choose the busiest time to go in and have to wait in a huge line feeling like my head is going to explode with a cranky toddler. Roman is walking circles around me when he comes and tugs at my leg and says "momma i dropped my pee pee." His pants are completley soaked. In all of our craziness I guess I forgot to take him to the potty...I couldn't help but laugh at his statement...
9. We return home to Andrew and are able to take a nap although my phone rings and wakes me up prematurely..
10. When we all wake up we decide to go and take a walk with auntie sharons dog...Saki. From Auntie sharons back yard there is a bridge built by her husband that connects their yard to the walking trail. Roman is walking ahead of me with saki on the leash when all of a sudden he turns to look at saki..his foot slips and he tumbles off the side of the bridge landing on his back in the creek. It is about a 5 feet drop...and of course it was all slow-motion... Praise the Lord, he was just scared and not hurt at all...i was more emotional about the whole thing...
11. When we get on the walking trail Andrew is pushing Roman in the stroller and somehow he manages to tumble out of the stroller face first onto the concrete. great.
12. In conclusion, I am glad we are going to rest this weekend and have no commitments....and above all we are all home safe and sound...

Oh my goodness - that is an awful day!! Next time your car overheats, turn the heat on full blast. That takes the heat off the engine so you can drive it a little ways! (One of the few car things I know). I hope you and Roman feel better soon!
Hi Lindsay! It sounds like you had quite a day indeed! Just you wait having little boys they will bring you lots of exciting times in the days ahead.
I wanted to thank you for the link on your site! I feel so blessed and honored. I breezed over to your writing blog too. I love how the Lord can use all our pain, heartache, and trials to bring more glory to Him.
Thanks again, and I look forward to coming back to your blogs!

That is a crappy day. So sprry you are sick. That is what I had for almost 2 weeks, mine turned into pneumonia. Joy. Hope you feel much better soon.
Oh my gosh! I'm exhausted and drained just from reading about the day. CRAZINESS. Well, let's just hope this was one last day of craziness before the bambino arrives! :) I did LOVE the "dropped my pee-pee." I love how kids think. Because, really, he did drop his pee-pee. :) They seem to always tell it like it is! Hope you are doing well!
