There are a few things I was thinking I would love to have to make life with a newborn a little easier..and I know so many mommies i figured i would try and mooch before I went out to buy something that I would only use for a little while...
1) I don't have any kind of sling for jude..I see all kinds of cool looking ones on mommies- I would love a front carrier kind that keeps the baby really close to you on your chest- does anyone know anything about these? what they are called? whats a good brand? If you have one I could try- even better! I have even heard of something you can put the baby in to nurse but it covers you and just looks like they are in a sling?..where can I get one of those?
2) a breast pump?I have an old school one that broke on me the first time I used it this time..if you have a double electric you wouldn't mind parting with for a few monthes I would be so grateful!
3) one of those hands free breast pump strap thingies...who wants to sit there for 20 minutes and watch milk drip into a container when you could be mutiltasking...just think..I could pump and blog!

Have you tried getting your insurance to cover a breast pump? I know some do and you get a new Medela for nothing because they'll cover it! It might be worth checking into.
I'm interested in what you find out about the slings. I know I've seen some really cool ones too, and I'm just gonna have to do that this time! My hands are already full with 2 kids...either I grow a 3rd arm or I get a sling! I think a sling would be cheaper :)

i have a baby bjorn carrier you could def use. austin never used it. i have no idea where it is right now. but if you don't get any other offers on it. i'll be looking for ours. i feel like i just put it in a bin awhile agao...

I have a front carrier. I like it but Mary Reilly thinks everytime I put her in it that it's time to eat! She gets mad then finally goes to sleep. I needed something so I can shop :-) I love it. She does feel that she is falling. I think you would get better use out of a front carrier than a sling. Hope I can help!!
I have a maya wrap and LOVE it, I will call you with the details, you can use it from, well I used mine as early as 4 days old with West and can still carry Thomas in it now. You can also nurse in it, I will call you, one of our leaders sells them and can show you how to do it, I will be happy to show you also! The right gear is essential!
I have a maya wrap sling you can use. It's lavendar...you're welcome to my pump too.
