First Week Home

What a week! We brought Titus home on Sunday night which was also my birthday. He has been the most laid back little guy. He wakes up every 3-4 hours to eat in the night and  goes right back to sleep. He is the first  of my babies to like a pacifier which is awesome.

I can tell I am much more relaxed this time and am enjoying everything more..especially nursing..even during the night! It is awesome to have friends bringing meals and spoiling us and praying for us. I can feel the covering for sure!

Roman and Jude have been doing really well with him. Even Jude has been very gentle with him. I think Roman feels a little left out and so I am making more of an effort to have quality time with him. Did anyone else experience this with an older child who is independant (ie: dresses, feeds, themself etc??)

Oh my goodness...I am seriously all teary looking at your pictures! I know you probably went through that 'attention' transition when Jude was born (I think Roman was 3) & I am sure it is even harder with 3 kiddos. I think Thomas actually feels left out now that he is going to school & of course we went through that when Ellison was born. Life got better when I started blocking off a full hour each day during Ellison
s nap & had "school" time with Thomas...no TV, no phone calls, a fun snack, & moms undivided attention. I know I am not telling you anything you don't already know but letting Thomas help with everything & rewarding him helped as well...he helped with diapers, putting on her clothes, even washing her. I actually put my 'Thomas plan' in writing & put it on the fridge to help me remember to make him a priority because it is easy to overlook the older kid that is able to get their own snacks, go to the restroom... Praying for you.

What wonderful pictures! I am sure it is hard to be the oldest. The only issue I have had around here is that it is hard for me to give Thomas the stimulation that he needs when everything has to revolve around the "babies". Bless you all!

LOVE the pictures!!! Especially the black & white one of Romie holding Titus--in the pic below that one, looks like Titus is pulling a "Romie face", don't you think? So precious.
