Freedom and a Toy Story

We had a great weekend celebrating the fourth of July. We had a cook out at my dads house and even did fireworks for the first time with the boys.I couldnt believe we found a turtle for Jude..so much fun! Roman even got brave and held a roman candle- or something like that. I found this smocked outfit in the closet for Titus , I must have got it at a consignment or yard sale a while ago and forgot. He was just too cute.

Titus is eating his weight in blueberries lately. Andrew and I were blessed to go on a date night this Monday and had so much fun at Brixx and then walking on the pitt street bridge as the sun was setting and fireworks were going off. Over dinner Andrew asked if I remembered how much Jude loved blueberries and how much he used to eat them and ask for them. I told him I didnt remember and burst into tears. It seems so long ago that I could feed him. I feel so blessed that he is doing well ( we think) but I guess I didnt realize how much it has affected me Jude wanting and asking for food lately. Its also been so challenging to discern some behavioral issues from physcial needs/acting out. I have been fighting to stay in the word because many days I feel like a failure. Which I know is not true but its where I am at alot lately.

Anyway, on a brighter note. We also took the boys to see Toy Story 3. Roman wore his woody costume and Jude wore the buzz light year wings and insisted on his red boots...with a smocked turtle outfit.Everyone was ooing and aahing at them. A little girl even asked her mom and dad if she could sit next to "woody."

So glad you are writing again! It's a great study diversion! The boys looked so cute at Toy Story! Will continue to pray for Jude and for you!

Lindsay I do know the challenges of having a child who can't have what others do- some days it is no big deal and other days it really really really stinks! I'll be praying for you and for Jude's healing!!
