60 Years!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine being married for sixty years?! This weekend we celebrated Andrews granparents who have done that! 60 years! We all gathered in the mountains in Andrews NC. The trip there was pretty crazy- two hours of windy mountain roads is not good on the preggo queasies..is that a word? anyway, I managed to eat my way through a tube of pringles (NOT the snack size) to try and calm my tummy. By the time we got there it was 9:30 and Roman had only slept for one hour for the entire 7 hour drive. Everyone had already eaten so we dropped off Romie and went to find food. Let me tell you, this place is in the middle of NOWHERE! I was suprised AND elated when we saw the golden arches. We took dinner back to the hotel and caught up with everyone before Romie and I went to bed. Having him sleep in the same room was very interesting especially as he would stand up in the pack and play while you were sleeping and say "moma, i seeee yooouuuu."

Saturday morning we had a baby shower for our cousin Julia. There were four of us cousins there that were pregnant so that was fun! It was at a little retaurant called the Cole house. It was fun to celebrate the baby and the food was great. We all made babies out of play dough for the game...

Saturday evening was the big anniversary celebration in a ballroom with banquet style food. All the kiddies ran around with the ballons and there was a couple hours of open mike to talk about what Jack and Francis (andrew grandparents) had meant to everyone. It was very touching and not a dry eye in the house. It was very inspiring to see how they lived their lives and how they have loved people and shared the love of Christ. People were there that were not even related family but who had come to know the Lord and whose families in turn had come to know the Lord because of Francis and Jack sharing their faith and their home. It is beautiful to see how the Word is so true when it talks about the blessings of a godly heritage. Everyone there in this huge family-children, granchildren, great granchildren, granchildren in -laws, ALL IN CHRIST because of the decision that this couple made to love Jesus and serve HIM alone.

Roman took any opportunity he could to grab the mike and talk about "trains." definaltey his daddys child!

That is so awesome! 60 years! I love what you said about God's blessing over the whole family. It is amazing to think that we can continue a legacy in our families for the Lord.

We are also headed on a seven hour drive - to Orlando!! Luckily I don't have "preggo quesies." Pray for our trip, as we will pray for you.
